Piazzale Michelangelo

Considerato uno dei luoghi più suggestivi e iconici di Firenze, Piazzale Michelangelo è la terrazza panoramica della città. Da qui si può godere di una vista mozzafiato su Firenze e i suoi monumenti: Ponte Vecchio, il Duomo e la sua Cupola, la Basilica di Santa Croce e Palazzo Vecchio. I lavori per la sua realizzazione si chiusero nel 1875 e facevano parte dell’ampliamento urbanistico affidato all’architetto Giuseppe Poggi. Al centro del piazzale è presente il Monumento a Michelangelo, formato da copie in bronzo di due opere famose: le quattro allegorie e il David.
