Torre della Zecca is one of the ancient towers of the city that were part of its town-walls building, located along lungarno della Zecca Vecchia, near piazza Piave. It was built between 1200 and 1400, and it preserved the Florentine mint in the Medieval era, where florins were minted using the flow of water from the Arno River.
