Where part of the old Fiat factory once stood there’s now a spacious and lovely park, a favourite place among students from the nearby university faculties (the Polo and Social Sciences). It features lakes, gentle little hills and, from June 2021, a work by Felice Limosani to mark the 700th anniversary of Dante’s death: a large star consisting of fifty 30-year-old willow oak trees, inspired by three famous phrases from the Divine Comedy: “We emerged to see once more the stars” (Inferno), “I was pure and prepared to climb unto the stars” (Purgatory) and “The love that moves the sun and the other stars” (Paradise).
