Located near the Cascine Park, the imposing trapezoidal Manifattura Tabacchi complex- designed by Pier Luigi Nervi in the 1930s in true rationalist style- is the symbol of a new chapter in Florence’s history, the tangible evidence of a successful redevelopment project, which converted a former industrial complex into an amazing multipurpose hub to be enjoyed around the clock, including coworking spaces, exhibitions, music, entertainment and much more. Sixteen elegant buildings spreading over a 100,000-square-meter area, with squares, streets and passageways and the Chimney Courtyard as a place for gatherings, cultural exchange and events. Inside the buildings, study and working rooms, bistros, cafés, workshops, concept stores, exhibition spaces, an animated cartoon production studio and, within building B6 overlooking Piazza dell’Orologio, one of the three campuses of Florence’s Polimoda school.
