Deportations Memorial is a place dedicated to the memory of Italian victims of Nazi concentration camps. Located in Gavinana district, it was inaugurated in 2018. It was originally set up inside Block 21 of the Auschwitz camp, but in 2016 it was dismantled and moved to Florence, where it found space in Ex3 - Centre for Contemporary Art. The memorial offers an immersive experience through multimedia installations that tell the stories of Italian victims, promoting reflection on the Shoah and the importance of historical memory.
