This delightful Italianate garden in the heart of Florence was designed Corsini family’s residence in 1620. Although the tramway passes close by it as it turns onto Viale Rosselli, hardly anyone notices it, well protected as it is by high walls. This garden, together with its lemon houses, is a unique place to visit. The central avenue, lined with romantic statues and terracotta pots of lemons trees, leads up to the splendid Loggia by Buontalenti, who together with other artists such as Ammannati and Giambologna helped to create this jewel. Partly transformed into an English garden, it now contains 130 citrus trees, centuries-old lime trees and statues and fountains.
