The Jewish community of Florence is one of the oldest and most numerous in Italy. It is no coincidence, in fact, that in the city there are a magnificent synagogue and two cemeteries, one of which, in viale Ludovico Ariosto, is monumental. Founded in 1893, burial here is reserved for brothers of the Confraternity of Mercy and the parishioners of Santo Stefano in Pane and Santa Maria Regina della Pace. This is where the tomb of Giorgio La Pira originally stood, and those of Don Giulio Facibeni and Ringo De Palma, drummer of groups such as Litfiba and CCCP are located.
