Established in 2002, the project for the Social Sciences Center of Florence, the work of none other than architect Adolfo Natalini, fits within the wider context of urban redevelopment of the Novoli area dating back to the 1980s. A perfect example of Italian Rationalism, it consists of seven buildings and houses 3 university faculties: Economics, Law and Political Science, as well as a well-stocked library. Not just a study center, “Novoli”, as it is called by the Florentines, has become a new residential and social center, complete with shops, bars and restaurants.
