Parco del Mensola is the second largest park in the city of Florence, and it is second only to Cascine Park. It extends between Ponte a Mensola and Rovezzano, and, in addition to offering a space for sports, walking and relaxation, it also performs a fundamental environmental function. In fact, it serves as an expansion tank for hydraulic risk reduction, helping to contain water in the event of flooding. The park has also playgrounds, dedicated area for sports and a network of bicycle and pedestrian paths that cross it, making it ideal for those who enjoy walking, running or biking.
