Church of San Bartolomea al Gignoro

Church of San Bartolomeo al Gignoro, located in Coverciano area, dates to the 13th century. Its structure is made of stone ashlars and a door with mullioned window. Today, it is part of by the community of the Waldensian Evangelical Church, but in the past it was connected to a monastery of Benedictine nuns, founded by the Baroncelli family, which was, however, suppressed in 1370 due to security and isolation issues
