This library is located on the first floor of Villa Pozzolini in Novoli. The building, which dates back to the 16th century, was owned by the Vernacci (a wealthy Florentine family). In 1528 it was left to the Spedale degli Innocenti. In fact, the emblem of a baby in swaddling clothes can still be seen above the lintel of the central door, as well as the revolving tray where abandoned babies were placed. Today, the large, pleasant garden surrounding it make studying more agreeable for all those who frequent it. The building also houses a newspaper library, a media library, study rooms and one for children and teenagers. Reservation required by phone or email. Entry is free of charge.
