Piazza dei Ciompi

Piazza dei Ciompi is a small square located in SantAmbrogio district, between via de Neri and via Pietrapiana. Its name derives from the Ciompi, the wool carders who, in 1378, revolted against the aristocracy in the famous Ciompi Revolt. Today the square is a lively meeting place, with antique stalls and flea markets.
