Firenze Campo di Marte Train Station is one of the city’s main railway hubs. Opened in 1896, it was created to connect the eastern part of the city and today maintains its strategic role in rail traffic. Its architectural structure is typical of late 19th-century stations, and with its 9 tracks on which regional, Intercity and some high-speed trains run, connecting Florence with Rome, Bologna and Pisa.
