In the western part of the Cascine Park there is a small amphitheatre carved out of a sand quarry in the 1970s, next to which stands the “Guard’s House” designed in the 18th century by Giuseppe Manetti. After renovations carried out between 2010 and 2011 by the City Council, it has become an important location for events and concerts, including some of those of Estate Fiorentina.
